Memento Non Mori
After a nearby chemical fire ravages her farming community, a young girl struggles with the environmental effects as well as her father’s disregard for her dreams of education.
Memento Non Mori received the first feature-length fiction film production support from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey in 2023*. At the same time, it won the Meetings on the Bridge award with the statement that “it started from a sensitive and personal place while addressing the situation of girls who do not have the chance to receive education, and it is a tribute to the struggle for women’s right to education.”
*Memento Non Mori is now ready for the international partnership and production phase with the experience and support gained from M2 Lab in Turkey, Film Independent script development workshops in America, and its selection as a finalist in Co-Production Markets Sofia Meetings and TRT 12 Punto.
